Step 5: How the auction ends

Auctions end from 8pm CET on the end date, that will always be clearly displayed by the timer up on the right.

Once 8 pm CET is reached, bidding activity on any item will extend the entire auction by a further 5 minutes. The two conditions necessary for the auction to finish are that 8pm CET has passed and that a full 5 minutes period has passed with no bidding activity on any items of the entire auction.

Whisky Trades offers international shipping. Our delivery charges and details are listed here.

Please make sure we can deliver to your location, as you will be responsible for any local taxes, duties and any other requirement when importing alcohol.

In order to lower risks associated with transporting lots, Whisky Trades offers a free collection service. This option will be available at checkout: you can pick up anytime from 10am to 5pm Monday-Friday, only by appointment.

Items can be stored with us for a combining and later dispatch. In order to reduce average shipping cost, we can offer storage free of charge for 3 months. After 3 months there is a daily €2 per item charge.

“Stay Safe” shipment

While our team takes every effort  to package and dispatch orders carefully and securely, the courier companies do not take on any liability for items lost or broken in transit.  Whisky Trades offers our customers a “Stay Safe” insurance in order to provide a method to cover items lost, damaged or broken in transit.  “Stay Safe” doesn’t cover against liquid condition, leaking, seal failures or cosmetic damages. Cost is 3% (+VAT) of hammer price + commission.

For your convenience,“Stay Safe” is automatically selected at the checkout page; while we highly recommend this,  if you prefer you can deselect it when completing your order.
