Step 1: Create an account
By registering with Whisky Trades, you’ll be able to sell your bottles in the easiest possible way. We will guide you throughout the entire registration and selling process and if you have any doubt, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
The registration process costs 5 Euro (+ VAT) in order to confirm your details.
This is a one-off REFUNDABLE FEE; buy or sell a lot within 12 months from your registration and we will refund the fee in your first invoice.

Step 2: Register your lot
Selling your bottles with Whisky Trades couldn’t be easier. By clicking on Register Lots you’ll enter in our lot registration page and just need to fill out the required fields.
Please let us know about any info or special facts you think we need to know and you would like to be mentioned.
You will also have the option to set a Reserve Price on any of your lots. The reserve is the minimum price that must be bid for a lot before it can be sold\won. The fee for setting a reserve price is 5€ (+VAT).

You can request a free optional valuation for your bottle(s), by simply filling the request valuation page. All valuations are indicative and based on historic auction values, meaning no prices are guaranteed.
At this stage you will need to select which transit method you prefer and how you prefer to be paid after the end of the auction.
Right after registering your lots you will receive an e-mail confirmation that you will need to print and include in your parcel(s).
Step 3: Send your bottles to us
Send via a courier
All items must be packed extremely well prior to shipping and responsibility to any breakages or loss lies solely to the sender.
Bring the items to our premises
If you would like to drop your bottle(s) off to us, please call (italian assistance) or email (english/italian assistance) to make arrangement’s. Service by appointment. Opening hours Monday-Friday 9am-5.30pm
Bottle Collections
Whisky Trades is now able to collect your bottles for FREE! If you are selling 6 or more bottles we can organise a free courier pick up service in all Europe (EEA). If you are selling 3 or more bottles we can offer a free courier pick up service in Italy. You just need to use a UPS approved packaging. You won’t even have to leave your house. For any question, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
*Please note that Whisky Trades will reserve the right to refuse any suspicious lot(s) based on our sole discretion and we are not obliged to declare the exact reason. In the event of a dispute arising over the provenance or authenticity of any lot, if it cannot be proved to be genuine, it will be returned to the seller at his costs.
Step 4: Auction
Once the items are received Whisky Trades will confirm the quality and conditions of your lots and we will get to work in preparing them for auction. Our photographers will capture professional pics to present your lots in the best possible way: A picture is worth a thousand words!
Step 5: Payment
At the end of the auction, we will send you an email listing the details of each of your lots. Payment is made to the seller within 21 business days as we need to be fair on both parties and ensure the buyer is completely satisfied with his purchase.
Payments will be made depending on your preferences, either via bank transfer, paypal or postal cheque.
You can relist any lots that didn’t sell, or if you’d prefer, we can store them in our warehouse or can return them to you. Please note that storage and relist will attract fees, and lots return will be made at seller’s costs and responsibility, unless you arrange to collect in person.
